High quality furnishings have been carefully chosen to offer residents total comfort with many of our rooms offering beautiful views of Morecambe Bay. All our 11 single rooms and 2 twin rooms have a toilet and wash basin with most rooms offering a private bath/shower, three rooms have recently been fitted with new walk in showers. WIFI and Internet access is available to all residents and guests. All rooms have colour Freeview televisions, telephones and bedside and bathroom nurse call alarms.
The Thorns is well taken care of with a maintenance person and gardener on site. Our upstairs bedrooms are serviced by a walk-in lift, and for the less agile we have a specially equipped bathroom and new stairlift to assist individuals to their private rooms if required.
Mealtimes are taken in our attractive dining room, with delicious well balanced meals, using local produce whenever possible. All meals are prepared and cooked on the premises. Breakfast and light meals can be served in guests’ rooms and we also cater for special dietary needs. We can also organize magazines, newspapers and library services.
We like to think ahead at The Thorns and move forward with Technology, that is why all our residents have access to WiFi so that they can keep in touch with family and friends near and far using their own iPads, laptops or mobile phones. Keeping connected is very important – family and friends are more than welcome to visit.
