The Thorns is set in a peaceful, residential environment amid lovely countryside, close to the sea with Lakeland hills as an ever-changing backdrop.
There are panoramic views across our tranquil gardens and over the famous Morecambe Bay. We have private access to the peaceful Lancaster Canal just behind the home – now an interesting and colourful leisure waterway.
We are close to the local churches, GP practices, garden centres and cafes. The Hest Bank Hotel, a well-known 16th Century coaching Inn, is within walking distance.
The city of Lancaster, 2 miles away, has theatres, restaurants and other historical places to visit. The staff are also more than willing to recommend places to visit nearby.
